McCoy Warming Hut Exhibits
Beaver Creek/Vail Resorts
This project centered around a collaborative effort of several partners including Vail Resorts, the U.S. Forest Service, and ECOS. The primary theme had been identified before the RFP process: to raise awareness among skiers/visitors about ongoing efforts to conserve local ungulate populations (elk and deer) and their habitats, and to increase interest and knowledge about these Colorado species.
ECOS conducted all phases of the project, from site visit and conceptual design through 3D and graphic design, content development, and fabrication and installation.
One important audience demographic for this exhibit was children. We designed a full-wall, layered mural that features colorful vector illustrations alongside large photographs. Matching games and web-based activities (accessed via QR code) allow for additional fun and learning.
