Change the World

This “Change the World” donation station was first conceived and implemented by ECOS for Denver Zoo’s Primate Panorama in the mid-1990s. At that time, it was pioneering idea within the growing field of visitor conservation action—never before seen in the entire country.

A digital menu prompts visitors to learn about 2-3 projects through embedded video, images, and text. Visitors can donate to support these via cash, coin, or a credit card—and can also choose to share ideas (for those wanting to “take action” but not wanting to donate money). In addition, visitors can opt in to receive periodic update emails about their project of choice. This keeps them engaged with wildlife and the issues, promoting future visits and stimulating continued conservation action into the future.

Through a streamlined back-end CMS, clients can easily change out featured projects.
