Jaguar Conservation Education Exhibit

Summit Park Zoo and Botanical Gardens (Panama City)

ECOS worked closely with a Columbian architect and Panamanian educators to plan and design educational components, environmental graphics, donor recognition systems, and the overall visitor experience for Mundo Jaguar. The exhibit sits within the 185 acre Summit Park, Panama’s national zoo and botanic garden.

The bilingual self-guided interpretive program covers a mix of natural and cultural history storylines. Interactive “hands-on/mind-on” features enhance the signage program; a variety of activity stations further create a lively environment for all ages. Visitors can climb, jump and balance like a jaguar; a jaguar stalk trail encourages users with prompts related to jaguar hunting strategies; the trail ends with a surprise attack on a non-suspecting capybera sculpture.
