Project: Public Restrooms, Denver Zoo

Description: The most visited zoo attraction is the restrooms. ECOS created a colorful linoleum inlay floor with swimming alligators, hippos, and “rocks” for jumping through the stream. Inside the restrooms, visitors are greeted with some of their favorite zoo animals in unlikely locations—the fronts and backs of the stall doors.
The first of its kind, a soundtrack greets visitors at the Denver Zoo’s restroom. Over thirty “facts” give visitors gems of information ranging from details about lobster urination to the zoo’s efforts in water conservation.
